Frequently Asked Questions

How much and how long is a session with you?

Sessions are $150 and 50 minutes long. If you’d like to request a 90 minute session, let’s talk about it and go over the scheduling. While I am not credentialed with insurance, I provide Superbills which allow you to submit to your insurance provider to see about reimbursement.

Can I bring a family member/friend/partner/etc to a session with me?

Absolutely. I often encourage clients to bring individuals that they believe could help their therapy experience. I don’t encourage it for the first session and we will go over boundaries, goals, limitations so that we are both on the same page before bringing someone else into your therapy space.

What is this “therapeutic relationship or therapeutic rapport” therapists talk about?

The underlying “mechanism” for therapy is the relationship built with your therapist. It is the development of a sense of safety, trust, and connection that takes time and active work. It’s the feeling of being seen and accepted without judgment — of knowing your therapist understands and “gets it”. When that kind of relationship is in place, it becomes easier to open up, explore the hard stuff, and begin to shift long-held patterns. Sometimes, just being in a space where your full humanity is honored can be healing in itself.

What is the “depth-oriented” therapy that your page mentions?

There are many different approaches to therapy and depth oriented is about exploring the deeper layers of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences — not just treating surface symptoms or behaviors, but understanding where they come from. It’s a gentle, curious process that helps you connect with your past, make sense of your present, and grow into a more grounded, authentic version of yourself. Within the context of couples work, it is about understanding your partner’s internal world and emotional experience.
